Film ‘SHIKARI’ came as a long time turmoil brewing in me. After so many years of independence all we see in today’s India is surely not something the great leaders who built this nation had seen for us. The country is being divided in the name of cast, creed and many other things! There is a huge unrest in the society. We often wait for a leader and never want to take that first step. ‘Shikari’ talks about every man taking a step towards creating a society which he dreams of. A common good can be achieved only by common contribution. ‘Shikari’ is a tale of common men from pre-independence colonial era sung for us the common men of today oppressed by modern colonial forces!
